Audrey Julien
(French, b. 1990. Lives and works in Nyon)
Audrey Julien is a French graphic designer and artist, working and living in Nyon, Switzerland. She graduated in graphic design from Duperré Paris and ESAD Amiens, and in visual arts from HEAD Genève, University of Art & Design Geneva. In 2022, her work has been acquired by the public collections of the City of Nyon.
With Arno Mathies, she collaborated in Prints, a series of unique printed drawings that divert the function of the 3d printer as an interface to draw.
“This paradoxical approach creates visuals that challenge the conventional expectations associated with 3D printing. The formal language overtakes the technical language by investigating compositions, collages, shapes and colors. The silky materiality of the drawings reflects light to render an illusion of three-dimensionality defying our perceptions of volumes and materials.”
