Jean-Marie Fahy holds an MFA from HEAD Geneva (2022) and a bachelors degree in Visual Communication from HKB–Bern (2016). He lives and works in Geneva. Fahy was selected for Plattform23 (national exhibition of emerging artists in Switzerland) and awarded a research grant from the City of Geneva, the Bourses de la Ville de Genève - Berthoud, Lissignol-Chevalier et Galland, and the Unmapping the World prize at the Festival international de graphisme de Chaumont. His practice is further enriched by residencies at institutions such as FAAP São Paulo (2025), Yellow Brick Athens (2025), Largo das Artes Rio de Janeiro (2024), Centre Culturel des Grottes Geneva (2023), and La Générale Nord-Est Paris (2023), among others. In parallel to his artistic work, Fahy co-founded Widefield, an artists’ editions project, and has curated exhibitions and performance programs across Switzerland and Europe.

Fahy's works evoke a subtle, introspective tension, exploring the vulnerabilities of identity and the silent pressures beneath daily life. Using soft, tactile materials like colored pencil on wood and fine textile work, Fahy renders bodily surfaces, landscapes, and fragments with a delicate intimacy. His gentle layering of color and form blurs the line between reality and imagination, inviting viewers to linger in spaces marked by ambiguity, desire, and emancipation. Fahy's practice reveals the quiet resistance hidden in moments of fragility and transformation.

Select solo and group exhibitions include Laundry Station, Yellow Brick, Athens (2025), Multiplicar o Crescer, Instituto Comadre, Rio de Janeiro (2025), Leaving the Island, Hiflow, Plan-les-Ouates CH (2025), Apocalipse, Casa-França Brasil, Rio de Janeiro BR (2024), Grand Tour, diplomas exhibition, HEAD Geneva (2022), Finale 16, diplomas exhibition, HKB, Berne (2016), Unmapping the world, Festival international de graphisme de Chaumont, Chaumont FR (2015), Prix de la jeune bande dessinée de la République et canton de Genève, CFPAA, Geneva (2014).
