Kelly de Geer

(Swiss-American, b. 1994. Lives and works in Geneva)

Kelly de Geer is a photographer and artistic director. With experience working alongside renowned photographers and institutions like Steve McCurry, Heather Hazzan, and Magnum Photos, de Geer has always aimed to convey an authentic and personal identity in her work, whether in fashion, portraiture, or documentary photography.

Upon returning from New York City to Switzerland, de Geer's creative journey took an intriguing turn. While continuing her photography work, she discovered the remarkable potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a new creative tool. This exciting development has enabled her to bring seemingly impossible ideas to life in her images. Importantly, de Geer’s exploration of AI is not a departure from photography but rather an expansion of her creative horizons, motivating her to generate fresh ideas and push the boundaries of artistic expression, enriching her
photographic process in unexpected ways.

De Geer holds a MPS in Fashion Photography (2020) and a BFA in Photography (2017) from the School of Visual Arts (SVA)(New York, United States).

De Geer’s previous group exhibitions include: petit détour, La Nativa, Geneva, Switzerland (2023); MetaSkins, 347 Broome Street, NY, United States (2022); SVA Graduate Exhibition, One Art Space Gallery, NY, United States (2022); UNFOLD, The Spot, Pop-Up Gallery, Geneva, Switzerland (2020); Are you still watching??, Living Gallery, Brooklyn, NY, United States (2019).
