Xinyi Fox Hu
(Chinese, b. 1992. Lives and works in Geneva)
Xinyi Fox Hu’s ceramic practice stems from a deep rooted passion for food culture which was already the subject of some of her previous photography works.
Researching at length various materials, textures and forms capable of withstanding the impressive firing process, Hu’s persistent curiosity is reflected in the unique organic pieces that emerge. Representing nature's elements as well as fictional creatures, her works encourage us to awaken our inquisitive spirit.
