Yves Meier

(Swiss, b. 1993. Lives and works in Zurich)

Meier has a rich background in both art and fashion. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Design from the Academy of Art and Design Basel.

Meier's professional experience includes being a Junior Designer at Akris, specializing in outerwear and double face workmanship, and internships with Ludovic de Saint Sernin in Paris and Collective Swallow in Basel. He also worked as a visual and design consultant for Baminate in New York and assisted with exhibitions at the School of Design Basel.

Meier's work can be seen at the Textilmuseum St. Gallen, All You CanNOT Eat, a group show that runs now until 13.10.2024.

Recently, Meier has expanded his artistic practice to include ceramics. Since last year, he has been creating ceramic collages framed in wood. These off-center works will be featured in an upcoming three person show next month, Nomadic Reverie, presenting his ability to blend different materials and techniques.
